As you travel on your Spiritual Journey, there may be times when you will feel alone, wishing for understanding, for guidance, for validation,
and for a group of like-minded people with whom you can discuss things that are relevant and important for you. Joining with others is not only relevant but necessary for your personal and global growth in awareness and spiritual maturity.
Joining with others opens up great opportunities to receive and give support, wisdom and knowledge, but for most people it also invites what I have called "Spiritual Predators" into your life.
Spiritual Predators can be
people, groups, or organizations who take advantage of other people's searches and exploration of consciousness or soul-related matters. Instead of being empowering and giving you tools that you can use to grow in awareness, their teachings tend to create a need for them in your life. They will often become the “intermediary” between you and your Higher Self, or you and the life you want to create.
More likely than not, they present themselves as the ultimate authority
on truth and the gatekeepers of the one and only path. They and they alone are especially titled as sole emissary representative or chosen one, by larger authorities, or can impart knowledge only they have access to.
Sometimes they will show up as “saviors” with a clear mission to save humanity, the species, the planet, your soul, or some alien species that's doomed without their help. Or convince you that you are the only savior for the planet.
And
this of course brings me to another important aspect. Even if you have been on a spiritual path for a while, it is always a good idea to check if you have unconsciously become a predator yourself, or a predator’s recruitment officer or inadvertently let a predator into your life. It can happen, and sometimes through the best of intentions. This can also happen by slacking off, falling into ego games or not cleaning your entourage.
Most light beings don’t see predators in
themselves or others because it is unimaginable for them that anyone would be out there teaching and guiding solely to take advantage of people and attach codependency and lies to true teachings in order to feed off their students energetically, egoically or materially.
This is why it is very important to get street smart about predators and recognize the signs in yourself and others that indicate a dynamic that feeds the dark.
